Team-EMPR-City-2-Surf-2015
$ 89,384

Raised in 2015!

2015 marks the 5th year EMPR has been supporting Starlight Children’s Foundation via the annual City2Surf event. This has been an important milestone for the team at EMPR where we set a goal of $200,000 (30+ wishes) to raise for Starlight over our 5 years of support. Between 2010  – 2014, we raised $123,398 and have been able to grant 19 wishes for seriously ill children in Australia, this had set our target for 2015 to $76,602.

EMPR is very proud to announce that with the help and support of our Business Partners, Customers, Family & Friends, we have surpassed our goal by $12,500 raising a massive $89,384 for Starlight, this will allow us to grant the wishes for over 13 sick kids this year which is 2 more than we had originally hoped. Over 5 years we have not only passed our target but have:

            • Had 350 registered runners in the City2Surf
            • Been the Highest Corporate Fundraiser for the City2Surf for 2 consecutive years
            • Will have granted 33 Starlight Wishes

This is an amazing result for the entire EMPR Group, we could not have done this without our Major Sponsors and their driving forces each year:

Micheal Elms at Hewlett-Packard

Mariana Thomas and Enzo Torillo at Toshiba Australia

Bill Shew at Whitehawk Advisors

Vishnu Naidu and Kevin Cranfield at Bentleys NSW

Gus Leone and Daniel Check at Commonwealth Bank

Karen, Jack and Georgia Petersen at InVista Audio Visual

We would also like to say a special thank you to some of our Business Partners and Friends and Families who have been an amazing extension to the EMPR family with their fundraising efforts and support for Starlight:

Anthony Redward and the amazing team at Grange Old School Boxing, Daniel Check, The Russell Family, The Holmes Family, The Woods Family, The Cruze Family, The Brown Family, The McIntosh Family and The Taylor Family who have all been awarded for their 5 years of support. We’d also like to thank Katie and her team at Forte Catering for setting up the scrumptious food for our guests, Lorna from Waverley Council for the support she provided on the day of the event, William Varsanyi our amazing photographer on the day, Gordon and Shane White for transporting all of our goods and setting up the AV for our Marquee, Helen Adam from Food.Drink for the lovely donated muffins, and of course Rebecca Oxenbould our Starlight Partnerships Executive, Louise Baxter Starlight’s CEO and the amazing kids of Starlight.
