Last year following the announcement by Hewlett-Packard Co. which unveiled sweeping changes to its business in China, including the sale of a majority stake in its data-networking operation. HP later announced that Tsinghua Holdings, which was affiliated with the prestigious State Run Tsinghua University in China, would buy 51% of a newly created entity housing the U.S. company’s H3C Technologies Co. networking operation together with its China-based server, data storage and technology-services businesses.
As a result of the announced sale by Hewlett-Packard Co to Tsinghua, Tsinghua Holdings indicated that it will now move away from the existing Hewlett-Packard Co. partner supported Authorised Parts Reseller (APR) model operating within China. Due to this, the EMPR Group is announcing its exit from the Chinese market due to the changed business circumstances and conditions.

Following a number of incidents involving Lithium Batteries that resulted in outburst of fires & explosions on passenger and cargo planes, the Aviation authorities has recently enforced an immediate ban on all Lithium batteries on planes.
“Federal Aviation Administration tests show a single damaged or defective battery can experience uncontrolled temperature increases that can spread throughout a shipment. It’s not unusual for tens of thousands batteries to be shipped in a single cargo container.
In FAA tests, the overheating batteries have released explosive gases that, when ignited, have blown the doors off cargo containers and sent boxes of batteries hurtling through the air before becoming engulfed in flames.” (Source: Boston Globe)
EMPR are experiencing extended shipment delays of Lithium batteries as a result of the recent ban enforced by the aviation authorities.
EMPR currently have limited stock of lithium batteries in our Australian & New Zealand warehouses. We apologise for this stock shortage and will provide customers with an update once we have further information on ETA.

As part of our ongoing commitment to Customer Experience, EMPR Australia is now officially Quality Endorsed within all Australian offices. Our Head Office in Sydney Australia has been certified since 2001, and since opening in Melbourne and Brisbane over the last 18 months, ensuring the high quality of our systems and processes in our new Sales and Distribution Centres, has been a top priority.
Quality Assurance is only licensed to companies who have met the world’s most rigorous set of business management standards called the ISO 9001 Quality Management Standard. It’s a proven and instant way for customers to recognise that the company they are buying from, or working with, are committed to meeting and maintaining world standards. To achieve this status, EMPR is audited each year and must demonstrate how we meet and maintain these world standards for quality, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
[:en]EMPR has always been passionate about obtaining feedback from our valued customers so that we can continually improve in all areas of our business. In August 2013 we introduced a new feedback process which allowed us to capture every single piece of feedback a customer would provide, whether by Phone, Live chat, Email or Face to face, and work internally to investigate and either direct praise where it is due, or create solutions for any concerns customers have had. This feedback has assisted us in improving within all areas of our business benefiting not only our customers, but our business partners and technology partners as well.
[:en]EMPR Australia is proud to announce that we will be launching a new EMPR Express website for all of our Australian based Retail customers.
Months ago, we introduced a new Feedback application which allowed all of our customers to communicate areas of praise or concern regarding their online shopping experience with our store website. One area which was highlighted through this feedback was the conflicting needs of the Home User / Small to Medium Enterprise customers to the I.T Reseller customers. The Home User and Small to Medium Enterprise customers were finding our store website more technical than they were use to, this is why they needed to heavily rely on the support of our Sales and Customer Service teams each time they purchased from us. These customers were also looking for full products that we did not stock.
