Macarthur business people will shed their corporate suits for boxing gloves on Saturday, July 23 in support of the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation.
Knock out event: Local business people will compete in this year’s Corporate Clash on Saturday, July 23 at The Cube in support of the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation.
The annual Corporate Clash is now in its third year.
After raising $68,000 last year, organisers Grant Butterfield and Mark Scarce have set themselves a goal for this year’s event.
“We’re aiming to try and raise $100,000 dollars this year,” Mr Scarce said.
Competitors undertake 10 weeks of training which includes fitness and technical training to prepare them for the ring.
“Boxing gets you out of your comfort zone,” Mr Scarce said. “It’s more mentally challenging than physically challenging.”
Brain cancer kills more people under 40 years of age than any other cancer.
Mr Scarce said he and Mr Butterfield came up the idea for the Corporate Clash after losing loved ones to the disease.
“The Corporate Clash is a unique event in support of a worthy cause.” which the EMPR Group is very proud to support.
